March is National Women's Month—a time when we at TheListAreYouOnIt.com celebrate the incredible achievements, talent, and inspiration of women. Even though Google may not spotlight it the way it once did, and while March 8th marks International Women's Day, here in the DMV they are turning up the volume with an exciting lineup of events. From the Women's History Month Pastry Chef Dessert for Dinner—emceed by the our own Nycci Nellis—to Les Dames DC's Bringing it to the Table Symposium, where Nycci will moderate a panel, and DC’s Trailblazing Women Chefs Discussion at the Smithsonian, also with Nycci at the mic, these events are just a taste of what’s in store. Raising the Glass (Ceiling) - Exploring Women-Led Wineries and Importers at Any Day Now: Join for this event on Wednesday, March 12th at 5:30 p.m. hosted by Vanessa from Prestige Ledroit and Vin Vitalé/Women of Wine DC. International Women’s Day Maker’s Market at Atlas Brew Works Ivy City Brewery & Tap Room: Celebrate women-owned businesses on Saturday, March 8th with a special maker’s market at Atlas Ivy City Brewery & Tap Room. The brewery will feature local women-owned businesses and vendors for guests to shop from while enjoying solar-powered beer. For more information, click here.

Women’s History Month Tasting with Slater Run Vineyards at Beauty, Champagne, & Sugar Boutique: Celebrate Women’s History Month with a Wine Tasting at Beauty Champagne & Sugar Boutique from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Enjoy four beautiful wines for only $15 ($5 credit towards purchasing bottles from the tasting). Bellezza Wine Club Members are free. Slater Run Vineyards woman winemaker, Katell Griaud, was raised in France and received her degrees in winemaking from Bordeaux University. She crafts French-Style wines using Virginia grapes grown on 13-acres of vineyards in Upperville, VA. The winery is family-owned and run by Kiernan (Slater) Patusky. Women in Wine Weekend at Bresca: Join Bresca for Women in Wine Weekend from Friday, March 7th - Sunday, March 9th, where they celebrate the talent and passion of women in the wine industry. Each night, a distinguished guest sommelier will join their sommelier, Alex Padron. Her Plate - A Culinary Journey in Celebration of International Women’s Day at Hotel Zena: Join Hotel Zena on Thursday, March 6th for a special International Women’s Day celebration, showcasing the incredible talent of local female chefs from the DMV area! Women’s History Month Networking at Surreal: Celebrate Women's History Month on Tuesday, March 4th in National Landing with a special networking breakfast. In celebration of Women's History Month, the National Landing Business Improvement District will host a Women's Networking Breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Surreal. The 2nd Annual International Women’s Day Agora at The Ven at Embassy Row: The 2nd Annual International Women’s Day Agora features international female vendors, live painting by a local DC artist, and empowering talks by inspirational women. Guests can purchase Mediterranean food and drinks from Fred & Stila and enter a raffle with gifts from event supporters. Women in Hospitality Leadership Conference in Las Vegas: The Women in Hospitality Leadership Conference presented by MAPP is having an epic 5-Year Anniversary celebration at the Wynn Las Vegas on March 30 & 31, 2025. DC’s Trailblazing Women: While women have traditionally faced challenges breaking into the culinary world, you’ll find them leading the kitchens of some the most exciting restaurants in Washington, D.C., today. Following the path paved by culinary innovators, including Julia Child, Alice Waters, and Washington’s own Nora Pouillon, today’s female trailblazers are making their distinctive mark on the capital’s dining scene. In an evening of lively conversation, join several of these star chefs as they discuss what it’s like to work in the male-dominated restaurant industry; how restaurant dining in Washington has evolved over the years; and what’s next on the region’s culinary horizon. Top things off with a bite from each of the chefs’ restaurants, along with cocktails provided by Thi Nguyen of Moon Rabbit and Sara Chaudhuri of Bresca. Registration for this program will end by 2 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
