Shakespeare Theatre Company Mock Trial at Harman Hall
The Shakespeare Theatre Company’s 36th Annual Mock Trial brings together a prestigious panel of legal minds, including Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, Justice Stephen Breyer (Retired), Justice Leondra R. Kruger, Judge Amit Mehta, and Judge Nicole G. Berner, to deliberate on an interesting case. Elizabeth Frankenstein is seeking justice for the trauma caused by her husband, Dr. Victor Frankenstein, and his AI-created Creature, which was given intimate knowledge of her life without her consent. Advocates for the case include Doug Jones, former U.S. Senator, and Andrew E. Lelling, former U.S. Attorney. Pamela Talkin will serve as the Marshal for the Court, and Bruce Reed, Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy in the Biden White House, will be a special guest. Abbe Lowell will moderate the event, offering a unique and dramatic exploration of the intersection between legal issues and literature. Ticket prices range from $25 to $175; the trial begins at 7:30 p.m. For more information or questions about this event, click here.
