World Central Kitchen Is On The Ground
Responding to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine by Russia, the World Central Kitchen Relief Team is now on the ground in Poland and Romania beginning to serve hot, nourishing meals to the tens of thousands of refugees that are streaming across the Ukraine border each day. They are also working with restaurants inside Ukraine to serve residents remaining in the country. The UN estimates almost 1 million Ukrainians have fled since the attack began, and that number will rise. The journey into Poland is daunting, with many Ukrainian families traveling for days without food. World Central Kitchen has teams set up at multiple border crossings into Poland. It is very cold, and families arrive at all hours of the night, so World Central Kitchen is working to ensure they have a hot plate of food as they seek safety. This situation is evolving fast, and World Central Kitchen is scaling up quickly to best support Ukrainian families under attack. Your help is needed.
