Rare Vintage Cantillon Tasting at The Sovereign
1206 Wisconsin Avenue NW
Join The Sovereign cellar for an intimate, guided tasting of vintage Cantillon lambic. Our very own Greg Engert, NRG Beverage Director, will lead you through 6 pours of some of the hardest-to-find beers in the world, including the ultra rare Citoyen du Monde (2015), Iris (2004), and Loue Pepe Gueuze (2011)!
Founded in 1900 in Brussels, Belgium, Cantillon is one of the most revered and historically significant breweries specializing in traditional lambic beer. A family-run operation, it has remained dedicated to the age-old brewing methods of spontaneous fermentation, using wild yeasts from the Senne Valley to create its renowned gueuze, kriek, and other lambic styles.
Together, you will honor a brewery that stands as a cultural and historical landmark, by showcasing beers that have preserved Belgian brewing heritage through the years, while inspiring others worldwide to embrace traditional techniques. Tickets cost $125 per person. To purchase a ticket, click here.
