Storytelling Through Food with KAMA: Small Tasting Menu Event at Immigrant Food

When:
June 13,2024 – June 13,2024 all-day
Where:
Immigrant Food at Planet Word Museum
925 13th Street NW

Family culture is built on the stories we tell about food we eat and all of the words we use sitting around the kitchen table. To celebrate the food and language of Immigrants in America, we are co-hosting a tasting event with our partner KAMA to share stories - both theirs and yours. Hear Sary talk about her famous pupusas - and how they made it onto their menu. Hear from Noha about her family’s journey in Lebanese food, and hear from Immigrant Food's culinary director chef Ben about how he created the Filipino fried chicken dish. Tickets cost $35 per person and includes a tasting menu along with presentations of the dishes by the chefs. Other food and beverages will be available for purchase during the event.
