The Popal Family and their Chefs Matt Conroy and Isabel Coss, have opened their new modern Mexican restaurant, Pascual, in Capitol Hill. The menu at Pascual is hearth-focused and gives guests a taste of Mexico City in DC. Some menu highlights guests can get excited for include Lamb Neck Barbacoa, Skate Zarandeado, Mexican Chocolate Cake, and more. The priority at Pascual is sustainable, seasonal ingredients which is why the team has worked with local farmers to grow Mexican ingredients to use in their dishes. The cocktails at Pascual take inspiration from Mexican cantinas. The wine list features natural wines that pair with the flavors that are signature to Mexican food. In the mornings, Pascual will serve coffee and pastries from their side window panaderia called “Volcán”. Pascual is open Monday and Thursday from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5:00 - 10:00 p.m., and Sunday from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. For more information, visit their website here.
