TAQUERIA XOCHI: ADAMS MORGAN
PROJECTED OPENING: No New Info At This Time To Be Announced in Adams Morgan Co-owner and Director of Operations, Geraldine Mendoza, has announced that Taqueria Xochi is finalizing plans to open a second location in Adams Morgan. This new location is expected to introduce outdoor seating and offer more sweets from Chef and Co-owner, Teresa Padilla. It will have more of an ice cream parlor feel and plans to make a variety of flavors of paletas and nieves, which in Mexico are popsicles and sorbets. The owners still have not decided if there will be indoor seating, but the addition of outdoor seating will be the first time Taqueria Xochi has had seating; initially starting as a ghost kitchen and takeout spot. MARKET 7
PROJECTED OPENING: No New Info At This Time 3451 Benning Road NE Entrepeneur Mary Blackford will be opening Market 7, a new food hall in Northeast D.C., that aims to serve underserved communities in Ward 7 and 8 access to fresh and prepared foods from black-owned businesses this year. This 7,000 square-foot concept will feature eight food stalls as well as a live pantry. Aesthetically, Market 7 will have a modern feel and aims to be a gathering place in the community and will also host cooking demonstrations and classes. Market 7 has also partnered with Whole Foods, in order to bring black-owned products onto Whole Food's shelves and to Market 7 when it opens at the end of this year. FLAVIO: CATHEDRAL HEIGHTS
PROJECTED OPENING: No New Info At This Time 3228 Wisconsin Avenue NW Georgetown favorite, Flavio, will be opening a new location in Cathedral Heights, this year. The new Flavio location is expected to feature a restaurant, as well as a speakeasy in the space formerly home to Cafè Deluxe. Guests can get excited to enjoy more of Flavio staples, such as stone-baked pizzas, branzino. pastas, and more. SIDEKICK BAKERY: ALEXANDRIA
PROJECTED OPENING: No New Information At This Time 2495 Mandeville Lane, Alexandria, VA Sidekick Bakery will be opening a new location in Alexandria's new Carlyle Crossing mixed-use development next year. Sidekick Bakery first opened in Ballston and have expanded and evolved under Culinary Director Vincent Griffin. Originally, Sidekick Bakery started as a passion project to re-program Ted's Bulletin. Some menu options guests can look forward to at Sidekick Bakery include hand-rolled croissants in varities like Superfood and Frosty and Fries, Black Sesame Cookies and Cream, and more. EBBITT HOUSE
PROJECTED OPENING: 2025 1860 Reston Row Plaza, Reston, VA Old Ebbitt Grill will be expanding for the first time in its centuries-long history, with a new concept, Ebbitt House, opening in Reston in 2025. The new outpost will bring classics from Old Ebbitt Grill to Virginia, as well as twice-a-day happy hour, a raw bar, seafood towers, and more. Ebbitt House is expected to seat 300 guests inside and an additional 125 on the outside patio. There will be two bars inside and one outside on the patio. Guests can expect Ebbitt House to be more modern than Old Ebbitt Grill.

ATLAS BREW WORKS: THE BRIDGE DISTRICT
PROJECTED OPENING: Early 2025 633 Howard Avenue SE Atlas Brew Works will be opening its third D.C. location in the Bridge District at The Douglass Development in 2025. The new 24,260 square-foot location will feature a large tap room, expansive outdoor seating, brewery operations, and food from Andy's Pizza. PROJECTED OPENING: Late 2024 1303 Wisconsin Avenue NW Hakan Ilhan will be opening a new restaurant, Alara, in Georgetown this year in the space formerly home to Paolo's Ristorante. The menu will feature Mediterranean classics from Turkey, Greece, and Lebanon. The space has room for up to 120 guests across the dining room and bar. PROJECTED OPENING: February 2025 Swann Avenue and Richmond Avenue, Alexandria, VA Founding Farmers will be opening a new location in Alexandria, Virginia next year. The restaurant will be situated on the first floor of a newly developed seven-story building in the Oakville Triangle development plan. PROJECTED OPENING: Late 2024 1155 Dahlia Street NW Giulio Adriani will be opening a second location of his concept, Slice & Pie, at the Parks at Walter Reed later this year. Guests can get excited for an expanded menu at this new location, with menu options such as paninis, pizza, smash burgers, and more.
