Celebrate the New Year of the Trees with a Tu B'Shvat seder, a ritual that began with the Kabbalists of the 16th century. At this seder, led by Rabbi Nora, you'll dive into nature-inspired texts to discover connections between environmentalism and Judaism and explore the symbolism behind the fruit, nuts, and four cups of wine enjoyed during this holiday. You'll also hear from Casey Trees and Jews United for Justice about how you can get involved in local climate and environmental justice movements. Dinner and fruitful conversation to follow. Seder and dinner (full cost) $36 per person, (subsidized cost) $18 per person; register here. 6:30 p.m. This event is 21+.
