NATIVO AT THE SQUARE
1850 K Street NW
Nativo, a third-wave coffee shop from Victor Nazar Navarro and Nakita Reid, is the newest concept to open in The Square. The stall brings a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, as well as a menu reflecting the homelands of Nazar Navarro and Reid. Nativo specializes in microfoams, single-origin pours and beans from Cafe Unido in the Union Market neighborhood. Some drink highlights include Cortado, Cappuccino and Cold Brew, a sunshine latte, and more. The Cafe Bombon is vegan at Nativo (they make their own sweetened condensed coconut milk). All the syrups are also housemade. In addition to coffee, there are teas, a chai latte and a matcha latte. The food menu hints at Nazar Navarro and Reid’s life as immigrants in the U.S. The main highlight of the menu is the Breakfast Arepa. There are also breakfast sandwiches on English muffins and croissants, as well as egg white bites, jam and toast and hashbrowns. As the menu develops, Nazar Navarro and Reid will bring in more dishes from their homelands. Grab and go items and fresh-squeezed juices are also available for guests to enjoy. Nativo is open Monday - Saturday from 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. For more information, click here.
