After 10 years in the making, The Crossvines, a winery, events venue, research vineyard, and dining destination, has officially opened in Poolesville, Maryland. The Crossvines is located across 388-acres of land, in one of the nation's leading agricultural reserves, where it aims to reinvigorate the state's wine industry as a research hub and tourist destination. The Farmhouse Bistro will serve as the dining destination at this new vineyard, and it is led by Executive Chef Luis Montesinos. It features 60 seats across both indoor and outdoor seating options. Guests can get excited for a modern American menu, with highlights such as Chesapeake Crab Cake, Fried Clam and Lobster Sliders, Confit Chicken Wings, and more. In partnership with The University of Maryland, The Crossvines serves as a central hub to educate a new generation of grape growers and winemakers. Winemaker John Levenberg and Assistant Winemaker Tyler Henley lead the wine programming at The Crossvines. The Crossvines is open Tuesday - Thursday from 11:00 - 9:00 p.m., Friday - Saturday from 11:00 - 10:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 - 8:00 p.m. For more information, click here.
