This location is the first of three that are slated to open in D.C. this year. At the Union Market location, the brand has collaborated with Michelin-Starred Chef Johnny Spero to revive his beloved "Birch" ice cream flavor that originated at Reverie. In addition to the Birch flavor, the Union Market store will boast 30 of the brand's signature flavors, such as Honeycomb, Pistachio, Earl Grey Tea, Marionberry Cheesecake, and much more. To celebrate the grand opening, Van Leeuwen will be offering $1 scoops between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23rd.
