BUNKER
2001 14th Street NW
Zach Renovàtes and Jesus Quispe have opened a subterranean gay club, Bunker, on 14th Street in the space formerly home to Tropicalia. Bunker aims to fill the need for an LGBTQ club scene in D.C., after multiple similar concepts have closed over the past couple years. Bunker features a lot of room for dancing, in a space that takes inspiration from a 1960's Cold War shelter. Once you get down there, the space transforms from the bunker esthetic. Some highlights when you enter the space include chandeliers, bar cages, colorful murals, "fallout pantry" and much more. Bunker is open Thursday through Sunday; For more information, visit their website here.
