Hanukkah Happenings
t’s time to light up the menorah, flip those latkes, and fry up some sufganiyot! The Festival of Lights begins the night of December 25th, and area restaurants are serving up feasts to make this year’s celebration shine. And, while Hanukkah might not be as big a holiday as Christmas, it’s still a deliciously festive time worth celebrating.
National Menorah Lighting Ceremony: Join the National Menorah Lighting Ceremony on Wednesday, December 25th at 4:00 p.m. The event features performances by the Military Bands of the Military District of Washington, special guests, and festive music, food, and entertainment. The winner of the Mendy Deren National Menorah Essay Contest will read their essay live, sharing their Chanukah message with the world.
